Lifeworks North Staffs marked a major milestone on Wednesday 9th September as the charity celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special event held at The Bridge Centre in Birches Head.
The Newcastle-under-Lyme based charity held a celebration which brought together partners, clients, carers, supporters and members of the local community, all joining to recognise two decades of life‑changing work across North Staffordshire.
Founded by CEO Louise Zandian, Lifeworks North Staffs has grown from a small, determined organisation into a charity supporting autistic people, individuals with ADHD, Tourette’s syndrome and other neurodiverse conditions. This year, Lifeworks proudly reached its 1,000th client milestone, reflecting both the scale of need and the charity’s commitment to providing meaningful, person‑centred support.
Attendees also heard updates on Lifeworks’ expanding services, including the launch of new Men’s, Women’s and Leek Support Groups, designed to offer safe, welcoming spaces for people to meet others with shared experiences.
Jon Owen, from the charity, said:
“We were so honoured to be celebrating with so many of our supporters and feel very proud to reach the 20th anniversary mark.
“Lifeworks has always been about community — about people feeling understood, supported and able to thrive. Seeing partners, carers, clients and friends all together in one room reminded us just how far we’ve come.
“The growth of the charity, the new groups we’ve launched, and reaching over 1,000 clients is a remarkable achievement and something everyone connected to Lifeworks should feel proud of.”
