Our Patrons

Dave Chadwick

Dave has developed a distinguished career centred on safeguarding, resilience, and early intervention, underpinned by extensive experience in counter-terrorism. As a Regional Prevent advisor with the UK Home Office, he worked at the frontline of identifying and supporting individuals at risk of radicalisation, collaborating across multi-agency partnerships to design and implement effective intervention pathways. He was a core member of Channel panel, contributing to the development of tailored support plans for vulnerable individuals, while also delivering high-impact training to tens of thousands of young people and professionals to strengthen safeguarding awareness and practice.

This counter-terrorism foundation now informs his work with educational institutions, where he translates complex safeguarding and radicalisation risks into practical, accessible learning for both students and staff. His wider professional background includes specialist roles in harmful sexual behaviour intervention, family and parenting support, and residential social care, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of vulnerability, behaviour, and early help.

Today, operating as The Prevent Guy, he brings this experience together to support schools, colleges, and organisations in building resilience, improving risk recognition, and fostering safer, stronger communities through informed and proactive safeguarding practice.
